I’m running behind today…..sorry for the lateness of this post. We spend the weekend in Atlanta with the in-laws and got back into town yesterday evening, so my ass is still dragging. We had a good time, though. My girls love Halloween so they really had a great time with all of us dressing up and actually being able to hand out candy to some other kids (no one ever comes to our house as we live in an extremely small neighborhood). Anyway, it all went by too quickly and here is Monday staring me in the face again.
My selection for this Melancholy Monday is a song that makes me think of my little girls and of the sadness I feel seeing them growing up so fast and realizing that someday they won’t need me around anymore. It is “Winter” by Tori Amos. Hope everyone makes it through this Monday and the rest of the ensuing week OK. Just remember, Thanksgiving is only about three weeks away…..and that means an extra day or so off for most of us. Got to have something to look forward to!
I’m glad ya’ll had fun. As for the extra day off, since I work for the bank I get Vets Day too.
